jb: I apologize for cheating and posting two pictures. I spent countless hours, tried combining them into one picture in Photoshop, but it didn’t do them justice. We went to our favorite frog pond today — it was the first time I had gone this “winter”. Usually, the pond is full to overflowing and teaming with life (frogs, tadpoles, newts, snakes, ducks, baby ducks and more). But this year, because of the “lack of rain” (remember when that used to be called a “drought”?) there isn’t even a pond. I am saddened and sickened by the thought of all these animals losing another habitat. I think I’m going to go Google “how to do a rain dance”. Anyone want to join me?
j: Well, we both cheated because I essentially took the same picture two Sundays in a row. LOOK! I’m fascinated by this evolution of Spring – same branch, one week later. Plus I learned how to do something new with the focus on my camera. This morning, I’m all full of AMOS love because it’s got me paying attention to details I would undoubtedly otherwise miss.
(And, it’s our blog. It’s only cheating if we say it is.)
That is so sad, much more dramatic than when a lake isn’t as high as it was the year before. I will join you in your rain dance. I think we’ve had maybe three days of halfhearted rain this season.
Thank you for joining me in the rain dance. I haven’t Googled it yet. But today I readied the yard and garden for Spring and put up the hammock. I’m going to go put the Spring wreath on our door next. If that doesn’t work, I’ll wash the car tomorrow. Basically, I’m daring it to rain… I think that’s the modern day version of a rain dance. 🙂
They were forecasting rain today, but they keep puling back from the storm predictions. Hurry, wash your car! xo
Well, it’s not cheating by my definition! I love how photography (and AMOS, because it reminds me to do photography) makes me look closer and then closer still at everything. It makes the world a much more fascinating place! I love seeing the difference one week makes in the life of your tree’s blossoms. Wish I could evolve at that pace, too. (I wonder if blossom’s are ever impatient with their blooming like I am with mine? Go ask them, okay?)
I also love this exact thing about photography. My reason for starting a photo challenge for this year 😉
LOVE your photos j, and jb!
PS: indeed, very very sad to see the pond all dried up…
And I just remembered: would you ladies like to leave the link to this blog on my photo challenge page? I love to see your photos every week, and I think many times they’d qualify by chance to some of my suggestions of pics 🙂
But even when they don’t, sharing photos with the world is so much fun! ❤

Hi Estrella! Thank you for the invitation! I have no idea what it means, but I loved being asked anyway. 🙂 I will confer with j and see what she thinks. Thanks so much for visiting, commenting and asking. 🙂 (Sorry for the delayed reply. WordPress made some changes and it wouldn’t let me write comments on my own blog — weirdness!)
No worries 🙂
I just meant that is you’d like to, simply add a comment on the photo challenge page with the link to the AMOS blog.
Every month I have new suggestions, but “walk photo” is always one of them, and I see so many beautiful walk photos here on your site, that I’d love to have you guys link to it so everyone else can discover them.
Also, I noticed how your just for fun photos sometimes coincide with my suggestions so well – funny how that happens when we’re oceans apart, yet the same things capture our attentions 🙂
